BOSTON, Mass. - The New England Women's and Men's Athletic Conference is pleased to announce the first NEWMAC Superfan of the Month for the 2017-18 academic year. Nominated by the WPI cross country and track and field programs, WPI's Paul Reilly has been named the NEWMAC Superfan of the Month for September.
What they are saying at WPI...
Paul Reilly is a huge believer in intercollegiate athletics and the positive role being a student-athlete can play in an individual's collegiate experience. He was standout cross country and track & field runner at Providence College and has since dedicated his livelihood to bettering the experience for the next generation of students and student-athletes alike. Paul is the Director of Academic Advising at WPI and while his primary job to assure student piece of student-athlete is successful, he can always be spotted attending the athletic contests and sporting team gear both on-campus and away. And if he cannot make it out to court, the pool or the track he is closely monitoring and encouraging the success of our student-athletes via social media. Paul is a true WPI and NEWMAC SUPERFAN!
The Superfan of the Month Award is an initiative by NEWMAC SAAC and the campus SAAC groups at our 11 member institutions. The goal of the honor is to promote good sportsmanship through the conference and recognize those who support their favorite teams and represent their institutions respectfully.
