NEWMAC SuperFan of the Month History

WESTWOOD, Mass. - The New England Women's and Men's Athletic Conference (NEWMAC) is pleased to announce the NEWMAC Superfan of the Month for the month of November. Nominated by the Wheaton College SAAC group, Dean of Advising and Academic Success, Steven Viveiros has been named the NEWMAC Superfan of the Month.

What they are saying at Wheaton...
Dean Viveiros works closely with first year athletes on academic advising and ensuring that they stay off academic probation throughout their first year of college. Our Wheaton Athletic Mentors partner with him in training sessions and workshops to ensure first years balance academics and athletics throughout their first collegiate season. Dean V, as students call him, can be found at every home contest, rain or shine. He is dedicated to ensuring academic success in the classroom so each student athlete can compete at the collegiate level. Dean V helps first year student athletes balance athletics and academics throughout their first collegiate season and all four years at Wheaton College. He is always willing to help students talk with coaches and professors so that each student can benefit from all that Wheaton College has to offer. Dean V is a great resource to first years and is always supporting athletes on the playing fields and in the classroom.

The Superfan of the Month Award is an initiative by NEWMAC SAAC and the campus SAAC groups at our 11 member institutions. The goal of the honor is to promote good sportsmanship through the conference and recognize those who support their favorite teams and represent their institutions respectfully.
