NEWMAC Men's Basketball Offensive Athlete of the Week

Tim Roberts, MIT (Sr., F - Oak Bluffs, Mass.) 

In a 2-0 week for the No. 5 ranked Engineers, Roberts averaged a double-double with 24.5 points and 11 rebounds per game to go along with 3.5 assists and 2.5 steals per game. For the week, the NEWMAC's leader in field goal percentage shot 75 percent (18-for-24). After a 23-point, 13-rebound double-double in an overtime win over Tufts, he ended the week with a 26-point, nine-rebound performance at Keene State.

 

NEWMAC Men's Basketball Defensive Athlete of the Week

Reid Walker, WPI (So., F - Lithia, Fla.)

Walker notched 10 points and a game-high 11 rebounds, including nine defensive rebounds, in Tuesday's successful meeting with Worcester State. He also handed out three assists and recorded a block in the 90-71 win. 

 

 

NEWMAC Women's Basketball Offensive Athlete of the Week

Natalie Clydesdale, Emerson (Jr., G - Pittsburgh, Penn.) 

Clydesdale's 16 points helped the Lions to a victory over the Wentworth Leopards last week. Clydesdale shot 66.7% from the field and hit three-of-five three-point attempts. She also added eight total rebounds with one being offensive. Clydesdale's strong shooting helped the Lions' to keep their lead and see out the game comfortably. 

 

 

NEWMAC Women's Basketball Defensive Athlete of the Week

Hannah Favaloro, Clark (So., F - Blackstone, Mass.)

Favaloro led the Cougars with 15 rebounds, four steals, one block, and 17 points in a non-conference victory over Anna Maria on Tuesday. This was Favaloro's third double-double of the season as she leads the Cougars and is tied for third in the NEWMAC in total points with 75. She also leads the team and is ranked second in the conference in total rebounds with 62.
