Follow NEWMAC Championships Live This Weekend

BABSON PARK, Mass. - Four New England Women's and Men's Athletic Conference (NEWMAC) Championships will be decided this weekend, with the semifinals and finals of field hockey, men's and women's soccer and women's volleyball taking place this Friday through Sunday at various host institutions.

Things kick off on Friday night with the Women's Volleyball Semifinals, hosted by top-seed MIT. The first semifinal, beginning at 5:00 p.m., will feature MIT and fourth-seeded Coast Guard. That match will be followed by no. 2 Wellesley vs. no. 3 Springfield at 7:30 p.m. The winners will meet for the NEWMAC Championship on Saturday at 4:00 p.m. Fans who can not make it to the matches can catch all the action live on MIT's streaming webcast. The Men's Soccer tournament will be hosted by Babson College on Saturday and Sunday. The Beavers will take on no. 4 WPI at 10:30 a.m. followed by no. 6 Clark vs. the no. 2 seed Wheaton immediately after. Sunday's Championship will begin at 1:00 p.m. Live stats and streaming video will be available for all games and can be accessed here.

Wellesley College will serve as the host for the weekend's final two Championships, in field hockey and women's soccer, as the Blue earned the top seed in each tournament. The women's soccer semifinals begin Saturday at 10:30 a.m. with a match-up between Wellesley and defending tournament champion Springfield. No. 3 MIT and no. 2 Wheaton meet in the second semifinal, with the winners advancing to Sunday's Championship at 1:00 p.m. Fans can follow the action with live stats here.

Wellesley and Springfield will square off in a rematch of last year's NEWMAC Championship in the field hockey semifinals on Saturday, as well. That game will begin at 11:00 a.m. The second semifinal between no. 2 MIT and no. 6 Mount Holyoke will follow at 2:00 p.m. The Championship will take place on Sunday at 1:00 p.m. Live stats will be available for all the games and can be found here.
