Jul 14, 2008 Andy Dutton Named Assistant Athletic Director of Facilities and Recreation BABSON PARK, Mass. - The Babson College
Athletics Department has announced that longtime staff member Andy
Dutton has been promoted to Assistant Athletics Director of
Facilities & Recreation. In addition to continuing his
oversight of the Webster Center and the department's outdoor
facilities, Dutton will now manage the Babson Skating Center in
this new role.
Originally coming to Babson as an intern from the Master's
program at Springfield College in the fall of 1990, Dutton joined
the full time staff as the Equipment Room and Building Manager in
the winter of 1991. Since that time, he has served a number of
different roles in the department, including a three-year stint as
Sports Information Director and a six-year run as head coach of the
softball program. He took over as Facilities Manager in August of
1996, and since then has also served as Coordinator of Intramurals
and Recreation.
"Andy is as loyal and conscientious a person as you'll find in
college athletics," says Director of Athletics Josh MacArthur. "He
is an incredibly capable athletics administrator who has served
Babson College for nearly two decades. This promotion is an
expression of my gratitude for his hard work and dedication to our
department."

Dutton says. "I'm excited about the integratation of the ice rink
with the rest of our athetics facilities. It's going to help create
a more closely knit community and continue our mission of providing
quality athletic experiences."
