Aug 4, 2008Babson Names Jeremy Viens New Assistant Men's Basketball Coach![]() BABSON PARK, Mass. - Jeremy Viens has been named Babson College's new Assistant Men's Basketball Coach, the Athletics Department announced recently. He will join Head Coach Stephen Brennan's staff as the Beavers look to challenge for their third NEWMAC title since 2002. After receiving his Bachelor's degree from Syracuse University in 2002, Viens spent two seasons as the assistant men's basketball coach at Ferrum College in Virginia. He then spent the next three seasons as an assistant coach at Elmira College, where he received his Master's degree in June of 2006. Over the last year, Viens has worked as a head coach for the Team New England Select AAU program in nearby Brookline, as well as the Director of Operations for Hoop Mountain Basketball in Beverly. "We're very excited to have Jeremy as a member of our coaching staff," says Brennan, who is entering his 14th season as head coach. "He has already proven to be enthusiastic, hard working, and energetic, and I believe he will play a major role in helping our program improve over the new few years." Originally from Randolph, Vermont, Viens currently resides in Waltham, Massachusetts. |
