Third-seeded Wellesley defeated fourth-seeded Lesley, 3-2, in game one of the 2008 NCAA Div. III New England Regional Softball Championships. The Blue (28-9-1) advance to face top-seeded Rhode Island College this afternoon at 4 p.m.

NEWMAC Announces 2008 Women's Lacrosse Post-Season Award Winners
Babson senior Anita Martignetti was named NEWMAC Player of the Year for the second consecutive season. Teammate Sarah Macary was named NEWMAC Rookie of the Year. Vanessa Cox of MIT earned Coach of the Year honors, while Mount Holyoke received the NEWMAC Sportsmanship award.
