Rainone and Fahey Key Baseball Win Over Thomas More in Florida

North Port, FL --- The WPI baseball team improved to 5-4 on the
season with a 10-4 win over Thomas More College on Friday
afternoon.
The Engineers used a five hit, six run fourth inning to take a 10-2 lead. Bryan Watkins (Belmont, MA) highlighted the inning with two singles while Paul Galligan (Weymouth, MA), Cody McGregor (Westfield, MA) and Joe Walsh (Weymouth, MA) all contributed base hits for WPI.
Third baseman Scott McNee (Falmouth, MA) led the attack for the Crimson and Gray with three RBI. Walsh was 1-for-5 with two RBI while Watkins registered two hits and two RBI. First baseman Ryan Rainone (Oakville, CT) collected three hits including a double for the Engineers.
Senior Conor Fahey (Cumberland, RI) picked up the win and improved to 2-0 on the season. Fahey tossed a complete game for WPI, allowing four runs on 13 hits while fanning six on the afternoon.
