Springfield Field Hockey Upsets Christopher Newport, 2-1, in Overtime in NCAA Championship Second Round Springfield defeated #6-ranked Christopher Newport earlier today, 2-1 in overtime in a Round of 16 game. On Sunday, Springfield will meet #2-ranked Salisbury State at 1 pm. It's the second time in three years that Springfield has reached the Elite Eight. ![]()
