Wellesley Sophomore Callie Lekas named NEWMAC Field Hockey Player of the Week

NEWMAC Field Hockey Player of the Week:  

Callie Lekas, Wellesley College, F, SO (Brewster, MA)

Callie Lekas led the Wellesley College field hockey team to a 2-0 week, with both wins coming in overtime. Against Gordon College, Lekas assisted on the game-tying goal and then set up the overtime goal to win the game for Wellesley. In a 1-0 win at Mount Holyoke, Lekas carried the ball from the 25 into the circle and then launched a perfect cross to teammate Kate Cushing who scored the game-winner. Lekas finished with 3 assists on the week.
