Springfield Junior Jane Kelleher named NEWMAC Field Hockey Player of the Week

NEWMAC Field Hockey Player of the Week: 

Jane Kelleher, Springfield College, M, JR (Chatham, MA)

Kelleher led Springfield to a 3-0 win including a pair of wins over two teams ranked in the top 15 in the country. In the Pride's 3-2 overtime win against No. 14 Williams, Kelleher tallied a goal early in the second half to tie the match at two. In Springfield's 6-0 victory over conference-foe Clark on Saturday, Kelleher notched a pair of goals to lead the offensive charge. On Sunday afternoon, Kelleher registered two goals and an assist as the Pride upset No. 8 Cortland, 4-3. Kelleher recorded a goal and an assist in the first half before her tally with 19:04 in regulation would hold up to be the game-winning tally. For the season, Kelleher leads the team with 32 points off 14 goals and 4 assists.
