Wheaton Junior Alisa Ardito Named NEWMAC Field Hockey Player of the Week

NEWMAC Field Hockey Player of the Week:

Alisa Ardito, Wheaton, F, JR (Branford, CT)


Ardito helped the Lyons go 2-0 last week, including an upset over 12th-ranked Springfield, by scoring the game-winning goal in each contest. During Wheaton's 6-1 win over Clark on Tuesday, Ardito sent home the eventual winner in the fifth minute of action. She then scored in the 12th minute in the Lyons' 2-1 victory against the three-time defending NEWMAC Tournament champion Springfield Pride. Of Ardito's nine goals this fall, five have been game-winners.
