Springfield Senior Eileen Jenkins Named NEWMAC Field Hockey Player of the Week

NEWMAC Field Hockey Player of the Week:

Eileen Jenkins, Springfield, F, SR (Gorham, ME)

Jenkins paced the Pride to a pair of key conference victories this week as the Pride improved to 14-3, 6-2 this season.  On Tuesday, Jenkins tallied a goal and an assist as the No. 14 Pride defeated Mount Holyoke, 4-1.  In a contest between two of the top teams in the league on Saturday, Jenkins' game-winner with 10:29 remaining in the first half helped Springfield knock Wellesley from the unbeaten ranks in conference play.  For the season, the senior forward has 10 goals and four assists.
