Babson First Year Colleen Kelly Named NEWMAC Field Hockey Player of the Week

Kelly anchored a defensive unit that posted back-to-back shutouts in a 2-0 week for Babson, which finished with a perfect 8-0 record in NEWMAC play and clinched its second regular season title in three years. Kelly and the Beavers' defense held Wellesley's high-powered offense scoreless in the regular season finale on Tuesday night, as Babson won in overtime, 1-0. She then helped the top-seeded Beavers blank eighth-seeded MIT, 4-0, in the NEWMAC Quarterfinals on Saturday, as the hosts allowed just two shot
