The NFHCA announced its 2008 Division III National Academic Squad as well as its 2008 National Academic Team Award last week and the NEWMAC was well represented in both awards.

After leading the Springfield College field hockey team to its fifth-straight NEWMAC title, Melissa Rogers was honored as the 2008 NFHCA New England East Region Coach of the Year.

The NFHCA announced its 2008 All-Region teams on Monday and 17 NEWMAC student-athletes were named to the All-New England East Region teams, including nine first team selections.

NEWMAC Teams Set to Compete in Post-Season Play
Following a thrilling weekend of NEWMAC tournament competition, a number of conference teams qualified for NCAA post-season play this week. In addition to the teams that received automatic bids by winning their NEWMAC championships, four more teams received at-large berths into the NCAAs.
