Coast Guard Academy's Head Basketball Coach Pete Barry Retires
NEW LONDON, CONN.--Pete Barry, the all-time winningest men’s basketball coach at the Coast Guard Academy, has announced his retirement.

NEWMAC Student-Athletes Garner National and Regional Honors
A number of men’s and women’s basketball post-season awards were announced last week and the NEWMAC was well represented on the regional as well as the national level. Six different student-athletes received accolades of some sort.

MIT Senior Jimmy Bartolotta Named NABC Player of the Year
Enjoying another historic program first, MIT senior guard Jimmy Bartolotta reached the pinnacle of individual achievement as he was tabbed the D3Hoops National Player of the Year in men's basketball in addition to honors as First Team All-American.

MIT's Jimmy Bartolotta Captures Prestigious Jostens Trophy
MIT senior guard Jimmy Bartolotta added more hardware to the most decorated basketball season in Institute lore as he was selected as the 2009 recipient of the highly coveted Jostens Trophy. The annual award recognizes outstanding student-athletes in NCAA Division III basketball for excellence in the classroom, on the playing court and in the community.

Cinderella Season Ends for MIT Men's Basketball
Farmingdale State advanced to the NCAA Division III Men’s Basketball Tournament Sectional Round for the first time in the program’s history on Saturday, defeating MIT, 67-61, at The Murray Center on the campus of Rhode Island College.
