  • Coast Guard's McNulty and Clark's Philbin Claim NEWMAC Weekly Awards
    April 17, 2018
    Sophomore Riley McNulty finished the week with nine goals and three assists including six goals in the program's first win over rival Merchant Marine Saturday afternoon. In a 1-0 week for Clark Philbin was a dominant factor in the NEWMAC victory over Wheaton on Saturday night. He won 15-of-19 face-offs, collected nine ground balls, and also recorded a goal for the Cougars. 
  • Coast Guard's McNulty and Babson's Tague Garner NEWMAC Weekly Awards

    Riley had seven goals, three assists and seven ground balls as the Bears recorded NEWMAC wins over MIT and Wheaton. Tague scooped up four ground balls and caused two turnovers as Babson rallied to defeat Springfield, 11-8, on Saturday.
  • Babson's Mishkind and Coast Guard's Johnson Earn NEWMAC Weekly Nod

    Mishkind pumped in nine goals and added five ground balls and two caused turnovers in a 1-1 week for Babson. Junior Trey Johnson helped the Bears open up the NEWMAC schedule 1-0 as he allowed one second half goals in the 9-5 comeback victory over the Clark Cougars.

    Morgan scored seven goals, while dishing out two assists in two games, helping the Lyons to a 2-0 week, extending their winning streak to five games. Junior Trey Johnson had a season high 13 saves in Coast Guard's 12-8 win over Maritime (N.Y.).

    Sophomore Riley McNulty finished the week with a team high nine points including four goals and an assists leading all scorers in Coast Guard's 10-9 OT upset win over No. 2 Wesleyan. Junior Trey Johnson remained undefeated on the season with two victories including a 10-9 OT upset win over No. 2 Wesleyan.

    Jared Brush started his junior season in style, scoring eight goals and assisting on three more in his first two games of the year. Junior Mike McCaslin led Coast Guard's defense to two dominating performances to open the 2018 season.

    WESTWOOD, Mass. - The New England Women's and Men's Athletic Conference (NEWMAC) released the 2018 Men's Lacrosse Preseason Coaches' Poll on Thursday morning. After claiming the programs 10th consecutive conference crown last spring the Springfield Pride have been tabbed as the preseason favorites, claiming seven first place votes. Voting for the preseason poll is conducted by the head men's lacrosse coaches.
  • Massachusetts Maritime Men's Lacrosse Team Up To Support 2017 Mito Energy Walk & 5K

    BUZZARDS BAY, Mass. - Members of both the Massachusetts Maritime men’s soccer and men’s lacrosse teams joined together on September 17th to raise monies and awareness during the 13th Annual MitoAction Energy Walk & 5K presented by Stealth BioTherapeutics that took place at DCR’s Mother’s Rest in South Boston.  Nearly $82,000 was raised at the event in support of continuing research in the battle against mitochondrial disease, an inherited chronic illness that can be present at birth or develop later in life and afflicts about 1 in every 4,000 people.
  • Bagby Appointed As Massachusetts Maritime's Head Men's Lacrosse Coach

    BUZZARDS BAY, Mass. -  Rick Bagby, who served for five seasons as an assistant coach at Babson College, has been named as Head Men’s Lacrosse Coach at Massachusetts Maritime.  Bagby’s appointment, which is effective immediately, was confirmed earlier today by Buccaneer Director of Athletics Garin Veris.
  • Tyler O'Keefe Named as MIT Men's Lacrosse Head Coach

    CAMBRIDGE, Mass. - Tyler O'Keefe has been named as the MIT men's lacrosse head coach, as announced by Julie Soriero, Director of Athletics. O'Keefe succeeds 43-year head coach Walter Alessi, who announced his retirement following the 2017 season. O'Keefe comes to MIT from Williams College (Mass.), where he has served as an assistant coach for the last two seasons.
