NEWMAC Men's Soccer Player of the Week

In his first collegiate action, Hopkins did not disappoint, scoring four goals over three matches to lead the Engineers to a 3-0 start and the Worcester City Men's Soccer Tournament title. In WPI's first game of the season, Hopkins scored the first of two WPI goals, helping the Engineers defeat Worcester State 2-0. The freshman forward also scored a goal in the team's second game, a 2-0 defeat of Becker. Hopkins capped off his impressive first week with the Engineers by scoring twice in a 5-0 win over Anna Maria that delivered the City Tournament title to WPI. For his efforts, Hopkins was awarded tournament MVP honors.
