Springfield Sophomore Adrian Schippers named NEWMAC Men's Soccer Player of the Week

NEWMAC Men's Soccer Player of the Week:  

Adrian Schippers, Springfield College, F, So (Ashby, MA)

Schippers leads Springfield with five goals on the season, all of which have come in the last four games. In the Pride's 2-0 win over MCLA, Schippers delighted the home crowd with a pair of goals in the first half. In the Pride's first NEWMAC win of the 2007 campaign, the reigning NEWMAC Rookie of the Year finished a breakaway at the beginning of the second half to provide the only scoring in Springfield's 1-0 win at Coast Guard. The Ashby, Massachusetts native has netted three game-winning goals this season, two of which came this week. Springfield, who is currently 4-4, 1-1 on the season, is 3-0 when Schippers finds the back of the net.
