Wheaton Senior Jim Ferriero Named NEWMAC Men's Soccer Player of the Week

NEWMAC Men's Soccer Player of the Week:

Jim Ferriero, Wheaton, B, SR (Medway, MA)

Ferriero assisted both goals and anchored Wheaton's backfield during a 2-1 win over Babson on Saturday, helping the Lyons clinch their seventh NEWMAC regular season title in the league's 10-year history. Ferriero's free kicks in the eighth and 15th minutes each led to goals, and he guided a defense that did not yield a goal until the 82nd minute. Entering the game, Ferriero had three career assists in his first 77 contests.
