Singles Player of the Week

NEWMAC Men’s Tennis Singles Player of the Week      

Elia Harmatz, MIT, 2012 (Huntingdon Valley, Pa.)

Harmatz was strong for MIT last week, winning both of his singles matches to help MIT go 2-0 for the week. In the team's non-conference match with crosstown rival Tufts, he won a key victory at No. 2 singles, coming back from a set down to win a 6-7 (8-10), 7-5, 10-5 decision. In NEWMAC play against Springfield he moved up to No. 1 and won in straight sets, 6-2, 6-1.
