Springfield Sophomore David Birdsall Named NEWMAC Men's Cross Country Runner of the Week

NEWMAC Men's Runner of the Week:

David Birdsall, Springfield College, 2012 (Madison, Conn.)

Birdsall won the 5k race at the Smith Invitational on Saturday afternoon to pace the Springfield College men's cross country team to a second-place finish. Birdsall won the race after he crossed the finish line in 16:57.89, nearly seven seconds faster than the next competitor.
