WPI's Kevin Jillson and Jarrett Arredondo Earn ESPN The Magazine/Co-SIDA Academic All-America Track/Cross Country Honors
Worcester, MA --- WPI's Kevin Jillson and Jarrett Arredondo have been named ESPN The Magazine/Co-SIDA Academic All-Americans for Men's Track and Field and Cross Country.

NEWMAC Student-Athletes Receive USTFCCCA All-Academic Honors
The USTFCCCA announced its 2008 Cross Country All-Academic Team and the NEWMAC had 13 student-athletes qualified for the honor. In addition, eight NEWMAC teams received accolades.

Three MIT Student-Athletes Awarded NCAA Postgraduate Scholarships
The one-time, non-renewable grants are awarded annually to students who excel academically and athletically, and who are in their final year of intercollegiate athletics competition. Only 29 scholarships for men and women are available for each sports season (fall, winter and spring).

NEWMAC Announces 2008 Men’s Cross Country Academic All-Conference Team
Honorees must have met the following criteria: earned a minimum cumulative GPA of 3.5/4.0 scale or 4.35/5.0 scale after the 2008 spring semester, achieved second year academic status at her institution, and been a member of the varsity team for the entire season.

NEWMAC Announces 2008 Men's Cross Country Post-Season Award Winners
Coast Guard coach Steve Eldridge was named the NEWMAC Coach of the Year. Eldridge’s Bears finished as the runners-up at the NEWMAC championship held Saturday. The Bears also received the league’s Sportsmanship Award.
