Smith Sophomore Megan Kiefer Named NEWMAC Softball Player of the Week

NEWMAC Softball Player of the Week  

Megan Kiefer, Smith College, 3B, SO (Oak Park, Ill.)

In a 4-2 week for Smith, Megan went 12 for 22 at the plate, hit two doubles, two homeruns, scored 9 runs and collected 7 RBI's. Her batting average overall was .545 and her slugging percentage was .909. She was also 4-4 in stolen bases. Against NEWMAC opponents WPI and Coast Guard, she was 8 for 13, had one double, 2 homeruns, scored 7 runs and had 5 RBI's. Her BA was .615 and she was 3-3 in stolen bases. One of Megan's homeruns was the game winner against WPI and her second was against Coast Guard.
