Rhodes pitched every inning in the NEWMAC Tournament, 43 in all, as she went 5-1 with an ERA of 1.95, to go along with 30 strikeouts and just three walks.

With a 2-1 extra innings win over defending champion, Wellesley College, the Springfield Pride won the 2008 NEWMAC Softball Championship. Springfield, coming from the consolation bracket, needed a 2-1 win over Wellesley earlier in the afternoon to force the deciding game.

Frederick hit .417 (10-24) with three doubles, one triple, four homers and 12 RBI's. She had an impressive slugging percentage of 1.125 for the week with 27 bases in 24 at bats.
