MIT Junior Alex May Named to CoSIDA/ESPN the Magazine Academic All-America Team
For the second year in a row, the MIT women’s volleyball team earned a spot on the CoSIDA/ESPN The Magazine Academic All-America Team with junior Alex May receiving Third-Team accolades.

Williams Defeats Wellesly to Win NCAA Women's Volleyball New England Title, 3-1
Williams College, the fourth seed in the NCAA Div. III Women’s Volleyball New England Regional, advanced to the NCAA Quarterfinals by winning the regional championship match, 3-1, over #3 seed Wellesley College on Saturday night at Tufts University.

Eight NEWMAC Student-Athletes Earn AVCA All-Region Accolades
The NEWMAC placed eight student-athletes on the AVCA Division III All New England Region team, including seven named to the first team. In addition, Joel Dearing, coach of the NEWMAC champion Springfield College Pride, was named the Division III New England Coach of the Year.

Wellesley Defeats Tufts In Five To Advance to NCAA Women's Volleyball Regional Final
The #2 seed versus the #3 seed second-round matchup in the New England Regional of the 2008 NCAA Division III Women's Volleyball Championship met all the hype as it went the full five sets with #3 Wellesley College prevailing, 3-2 (18-25, 25-21, 19-25, 25-23, 15-12).

A Pair of NEWMAC Student-Athletes Earn Academic All-District Honors
Juniors Alex May of MIT and Becca Holmberg from WPI were named to the CoSIDA/ESPN the Magazine Academic All-District One first team for women’s volleyball.
