The NEWMAC announced its 2009-10 women’s basketball award winners on Tuesday. NEWMAC Tournament champion, Babson College, earned three All-Conference selections, including the NEWMAC Player of the Year, Nicole Wurdeman.

Babson Sophomore Kathleen King Named NEWMAC Women's Basketball Player of the Week
King averaged 18.0 points, 10.7 rebounds, 2.3 assists, and 2.0 steals per game while shooting .568 from the field (21-37) and .667 from the free throw line (12-18) in leading Babson to its second straight NEWMAC Tournament Championship.

Collins was outstanding in a 2-0 week for Babson, averaging 14.5 points, 7.0 rebounds, 1.5 steals, 1.5 assists, and 2.0 blocks per game while helping to fill the void left by injured leading scorer Nicki Wurdeman.
