Wheaton Junior Krystin Hickey Named NEWMAC Women's Basketball Player of the Week

NEWMAC Women's Basketball Player of the Week:

Krystin Hickey, Wheaton, F, JR (Manchester, N.H.)

Hickey helped Wheaton begin its NEWMAC slate by going 2-0 last week. The junior forward averaged 16.5 points, 8.0 rebounds and 3.0 assists while shooting 61.1 percent (11-18), including 4-of-5 from three-point range, and making all seven free throw tries. During a 67-48 win over Mount Holyoke on Wednesday, Hickey had game highs of 23 points and 10 rebounds, going 8-of-12, while hitting both of her three-point attempts and all five free throw tries. She added three assists. Hickey then had 10 points, six rebounds and three assists in 27 minutes of a 70-50 win against Babson on Saturday.
