USCGA Sophomore Melissa Martinelli Named NEWMAC Women's Basketball Player of the Week

NEWMAC Women's Basketball Player of the Week:

Melissa Martinelli, U.S. Coast Guard Academy, F, SO (Vero Beach, Fla.)

Martinelli averaged 23 points and 6.5 rebounds as the Bears won at Springfield and at home against Wellesley. She shot 58.1 percent (18-31) from the field while making 10 of 13 shots from the foul line. Her best game was 25 point performance in the win at Springfield.
