Springfield Junior Lauren O'Connor Named NEWMAC Women's Basketball Player of the Week

NEWMAC Women's Basketball Player of the Week:

Lauren O'Connor, Springfield, C, JR (Valhalla, N.Y.)

Lauren O'Connor led the Pride to a win in its only game of the week as she posted a double-double in Springfield's 72-61 win over Colby-Sawyer on Saturday. O'Connor was sensational as she netted 18 points to go along with 13 rebounds and a pair of steals in the win. The junior center went 7 of 14 from the field and was one of the main reasons the Pride held at 30-22 advantage in points in the paint.
