USCGA Sophomore Melissa Martinelli Named NEWMAC Women's Basketball Player of the Week

NEWMAC Women's Basketball Player of the Week:

Melissa Martinelli, U.S Coast Guard Academy, F, SO (Vero Beach, Fla.)

Martinelli had 20 points and nine rebounds while shooting 8 for 14 from the floor in a loss to New England power Eastern Connecticut, which improved to 10-0. Coast Guard is off to it best start in school history with a 7-2 record in the first semester.
