Kenel was magnificent in helping Babson win its first NEWMAC Championship since 1999 this week. The first-year guard averaged 9.3 points, 5.3 rebounds, and 1.0 steals per game off the bench, including a team-leading 11.5 points per outing in the Beavers' semifinal and final victories over the weekend. She netted five points and pulled down seven boards in Babson's 59-35 quarterfinal win over Coast Guard on Wednesday, and then poured in 12 points to go with two steals in a 72-60 semifinal victory over Springfield on Saturday. Kenel closed out the week with another key performance against Wheaton in Sunday's championship game, recording 11 points, eight rebounds, and three assists while hitting 3-of-6 from three-point range to lift Babson to a 51-43 win and the fourth conference championship in program history.
