NEW LONDON, CONN.--Rick Gaines has been named the head coach of the Coast Guard Academy women’s basketball team. Gaines has served as an assistant coach with the program for the past ten seasons.

WPI Wins ECAC Division III New England Women's Basketball Championship
Led by a double-double from tournament Most Outstanding Player Serena Dubois, the WPI women's basketball team claimed its second ECAC Division III New England Women's Basketball Championship in the last three years with a 43-36 victory over Nichols Saturday afternoon.
