The New England Women's and Men's Athletic Conference

Babson Park, Mass. - The New England Women's and Men's Athletic Conference (NEWMAC) announced its 2007 Women's Soccer Post-season awards on Tuesday. NEWMAC Regular Season and Tournament champion Wheaton College led the way with a total of five selections to the All-Conference team. Wheaton Senior Erin Davis (Easton, Conn.) was named NEWMAC Player of the Year after helping lead the Lyons to a 21-0-1 record, including a perfect 9-0-0 in NEWMAC play. In addition, teammate Melida Alvarez (Saugus, Mass.) was named NEWMAC Rookie of the Year; their Coach, Luis Reis, was honored as NEWMAC Coach of the Year. Mount Holyoke College received the conference's annual Sportsmanship Award.

Joining Davis of the First Team All-Conference are teammates Emily Hough, Jenna Rabesa and Alessia Viscomi, Babson's Meg Lynch, Amy Ludlum of MIT, Springfield's Nicole Hanewich and Kayla Thibeault, Kristen Garza of WPI and Wellesley's Jennifer Lau and Katie Martore.

The Second Team All-Conference is comprised of Sam Bartman and Jackie Graham of Babson, Clark's Joanna Clark and Julia Rizzo, Liz Theurer of MIT, Mount Holyoke's Lauren Orr, Smith's Lauren Batchel and Etta Grover-Silva, Springfield's Delaney Cantrall and Lauren Peltier, and Barrie Lindsay from Wheaton.
