WPI Freshman Kristen Garza named NEWMAC Women's Soccer Player of the Week

NEWMAC Women's Soccer Player of the Week:

Kristen Garza, FR, WPI (Kingston, MA)

Kristen Garza earned NEWMAC Player of the Week honors by scoring 5 goals and adding 2 assists and helping WPI to a 3-1 record in the first week of play. In the first game of her collegiate career, the freshman from Kingston, MA scored 2 goals and assisted on the third, as the Engineers defeated Salve Regina 3-1. She added another pair of goals in WPI's 3-0 win over Wentworth. Garza capped off her impressive week by scoring both goals, including the game winner, in WPI's 2-1 double-overtime victory over Salem State.
