Springfield Junior Delaney Cantrall Named NEWMAC Women's Soccer Player of the Week

NEWMAC Women's Soccer Player of the Week:

Delaney Cantrall, Springfield, D, JR (Santa Paula, CA)

Cantrall has continued to lead the Springfield College women's soccer team's defense as the Pride posted a pair of shutouts this week. Cantrall also got involved on the offensive side of the ball as her penalty with just over six minutes remaining in regulation proved to be the difference in the Pride's 1-0 win at Smith. It was Cantrall's first goal of the season. On Tuesday evening, Cantrall directed the Pride's defense to its fifth consecutive shutout at home and 10th overall as Springfield cruised past MIT, 6-0. The last time the Pride was scored on at home was on September 8, in a 2-1 win over Brandeis. The shutout streak currently stands at 475:01 minutes.
