Cantrall's Overtime Penalty Kick Lifts Springfield To NEWMAC Women's Soccer Championship
For the third time in four years, the Springfield College women's soccer team is headed back to the NCAA Tournament. With its 2-1 overtime victory over the second-seeded Wheaton College Lyons, the top-seeded Pride claimed the NEWMAC crown, and earned the NCAA Tournament automatic qualifier.

Quarterfinals: Saturday, November 1, 1 p.m. or 7 p.m. at higher seed's site: 
#1 Springfield defeats #8 WPI, 4-0
#2 Wheaton ties #7 Mount Holyoke, 1-1 (Wheaton advances on PKs)
#6 Clark ties #3 Babson, 0-0 (Clark advances on PKs)
#5 MIT defeats #4 Wellesley, 1-0

Semifinals: Saturday, November 8, at Springfield: 
     #1 Springfield defeats #5 MIT, 4-0
     #2 Wheaton defeats #6 Clark, 1-0

Championship: Sunday, November 9 at Springfield: 
      #1 Springfield defeats #2 Wheaton, 2-1 (OT)
