NEWMAC Women’s Swimmer of the Week
Kailey Allen, MIT (Tacoma, Wash.)
MIT freshman Kailey Allen had herself an excellent week against a pair of Division I opponents. Individually on Friday against Cornell, Allen swam the fastest time in the country in the 200-fly when she finished first in 2:03.90 and then bested that mark on Saturday when she notched a time of 2:03.68 for first place against Brown. Her times were good enough for a pair of NCAA "B" cut times as she has made a major impact for the No. 6 ranked MIT women's swimming and diving team in three meets thus far. Additionally, against Brown, she swam a time of 58.39 for fourth in the 100-fly as she was the fastest MIT swimmer in the event.
