Wellesley Senior Kate Sorenson Named NEWMAC Women's Diver of the Week

NEWMAC Women's Diver of the Week:

Kate Sorenson, Wellesley College, 2009 (Bolton, Mass.)

Sorenson led Wellesley to a win at the Seven Sisters Championship with victories on both the 1-meter and 3-meter boards. Her score of 474.00 (11 dives) broke her own school record on the 1-meter board and bested her nearest competitor by 91 points. In the 3-meter event, Sorenson won with a 503.15, over 100 points better than the second place finisher. Both of her scores hit NCAA qualifying standards.
