Wheaton Freshman Mickey Jusme Named NEWMAC Women's Field Athlete of the Week

NEWMAC Women's Field Athlete of the Week  

Mickey Jusme, Wheaton College, 2012 (Providence, R.I.)

Jusme surpassed NCAA Championship provisional marks in the long jump and triple jump during Saturday's Springfield Invitational. Her distance of 39' 4" during a second-place showing in the triple jump was 0.01 meters shy of automatic qualification for NCAAs and surpassed the previous top distance in the nation this season. She won the 18-athlete long jump competition at 18' 4 1/4". Wheaton took third among 12 scoring teams.
