NEWMAC Student-Athletes Receive USTFCCCA All-Academic Honors
The USTFCCCA announced its 2008 Cross Country All-Academic Team and the NEWMAC had 13 student-athletes qualified for the honor. In addition, eight NEWMAC teams received accolades.

NEWMAC Announces 2008 Women's Cross Country Academic All-Conference Team
Honorees must have met the following criteria: earned a minimum cumulative GPA of 3.5/4.0 scale or 4.35/5.0 scale after the 2008 spring semester, achieved second year academic status at her institution, and been a member of the varsity team for the entire season.

NEWMAC Announces 2008 Women's Cross Country Post-Season Award Winners
For the second year in a row, MIT coach Halston Taylor was named NEWMAC Coach of the Year, after leading the Engineers to the NEWMAC championship. Mount Holyoke and Smith shared the NEWMAC Sportsmanship Award.

Wellesley Senior Jessica Weng Named NEWMAC Women's Cross Country Runner of the Week
Weng won the 2008 Wellesley Invitational in a time of 19:52.

Springfield Junior Amanda DiPaolo Named NEWMAC Women's Cross Country Runner of the Week
The Pride were once again paced by junior Amanda DiPaolo this weekend at the University of Albany Invitational.

MIT Junior Jacqui Wentz Named NEWMAC Women's Cross Country Runner of the Week
Wentz finished 29th in a field of over 300 runners at the All-Division New England Championship over the weekend.

MIT Junior Jacqui Wentz Named NEWMAC Women's Cross Country Runner of the Week
Wentz helped pace the Engineers to a first place team finish at the NCAA Division III Pre-Nationals in Hanover, Ind. Wentz finished the six-kilometer course in a time of 22:47, good for seventh out of 172 runners.

Springfield Junior Amanda DiPaolo Named NEWMAC Women's Cross Country Runner of the Week
DiPaolo continued her outstanding 2008 season as she finished in seventh in a time 23:18.62 at the Purple Valley Classic.

DiPaolo continued to have a great start to her 2008 season as she and the Pride finished fifth as a team over the weekend at the UMass-Dartmouth Invitational.
