Smith Sophomore Anna Cressotti Named NEWMAC Women's Cross Country Runner of the Week

NEWMAC Women's Runner of the Week:

Anna Cressotti, Smith, SO (Southampton, MA)

Sophomore Anna Cressotti took first place in the Seven Sisters Cross Country Championship held at Wellesley College on Saturday, October 13. Cressotti took the lead early - going through the one-mile mark in 5:38 - and held her position for the entire 5k race, finishing in 18:47.  With her win, Cressotti beat two full NEWMAC teams, Mount Holyoke and Wellesley, and helped Smith finish third overall, just 3 points behind Wellesley.
