WESTWOOD, Mass. - The New England Women's and Men's Athletic Conference (NEWMAC) has announced the 2018-19 Men's Basketball All-Conference and major awards after an exciting and competitive season between the league's eight teams.

MIT's Bradley Jomard earned the title of Athlete of the Year after an outstanding senior season. Jomard ranked overall second in assists per game (6.1), first in total assists (152) and fourth in points per game (18.5), scoring over 20 points in nine games, including two games of scoring 30 points or more.

For his efforts on the court this season, WPI's Jake Wisniewski was tabbed the Defensive Player of the Year. The junior forward pulled down 161 rebounds, ranking second overall in offensive rebounds with 56, and chipped in 20 steals with 10 blocks.

Emerson's Zach Waterhouse was named the Rookie of the Year after an impressive rookie campaign. The first-year guard ranked eighth overall and first among rookies in points per game (16.4) and was seventh overall in field goal shooting percentage (53.1), scoring double-digits in every game expect for three.

Emerson's Bill Curley was recognized as the Coach of the Year after leading Emerson to the No. 2 seed in the NEWMAC Tournament and to the program's first NEWMAC championship title. Curley and the Lions produced a NEWMAC record of 9-5, before capping off the effort by winning the NEWMAC crown.

The NEWMAC Men's Basketball All-Conference Team consists of a first and second team of five selections which are voted on by the eight head men's basketball coaches. The 2018-19 honorees are listed below.

Eight men's basketball student-athletes were also named to the All-Sportsmanship Team.
