Clark's Lane and Babson's Greenspan Earn NEWMAC Men's Soccer Awards

NEWMAC Men's Soccer Offensive Athlete of the Week

Charlie Lane, Clark (Jr., M, Southborough, Mass.)

In a 2-0 week for the Cougars in which they tallied 10 total goals, Lane posted two goals and an assist in a 5-0 victory over Dean. He finished the week with five points.

NEWMAC Men's Soccer Defensive Athlete of the Week

Jackson Greenspan, Babson (Sr., D, Meriden, N.H.)

Greenspan keyed Babson's second consecutive shutout and picked up an assist on the opening goal as the Beavers defeated No 4 Brandeis, 2-0, on Saturday. The senior back headed a free kick to teammate Alex Crompton for the go-ahead goal in the 57th minute and dominated the box defensively as the Green and White became the first team to blank the Judges in 10 matches. Babson limited Brandeis to just three shots on goal over the first 78 minutes of the contest.
