Clark's Munroe and Springfield's Frank Named Men's Soccer Athletes of the Week

NEWMAC Men's Soccer Offensive Athlete of the Week

Sean Munroe, Clark (Jr., F, Silver Springfield, Md.)

In a 2-0 week for Clark, Munroe tallied three goals and two assists for a total of eight points. He posted two goals and two assists in the Cougar's 6-1 victory over Framingham State before tallying a goal in their 3-0 shutout over Emerson to start the season with a 1-0 NEWMAC record.

NEWMAC Men's Soccer Defensive Athlete of the Week

Stewark Frank, Springfield (Sr., GK, Pittsford, N.Y.)

Stewart Frank, a senior goalkeeper for Springfield College, was instrumental in the Pride picking up its first NEWMAC win of the season, as he made four stops in a 1-0 double overtime win over Coast Guard on Saturday afternoon. Frank, who played all 105:44 of the contest, made two saves in the first half, two in the second, and kept the Bears at bay for the overtime periods.
